Jan. 24th, 2020 06:41 pmI haven't been reading (or posting) his past week because Friday afternoon, after waking up with a red and swollen eye, I was diagnosed with conjunctivitis and sent of with a prescription for precautionary antibiotic drops. <u euesight was not quite right for days, so I wasn't spending much time online at all. But Wednesday evening Himself told me it looked like it was starting to get better, aand I started feelig like it within the past day or so.
No clue what caused it, and I haven't been around anyone with it, so...*shrug*
I hate contributing to the overuse of antibiotics by using them "just in case", but I can't afford to risk a potential hospital visit if something even worse happens because I didn't use them.I do know of people who've gotten secondary bacterial infections while undergoing cancer treatmen that actually died because of the infection and not the cancer.

I've been trying to work on a knitting project since my eyes aren't as bothered while looking at that as they are by my monitor, and I just gotta say the red yrn I'm using is being a real PITA. It's not a "specialty" yarn, or an uneven spin, but I have had to rip it out almost completely, cut a length that's gotten knotted off,and restart from cating on TWICE now. Most unpleasant.

And now it's time to try an "experiment" in the kitchen. I bought a package of broccoli slaw, and I wanna see what happens when I throw it in a skillet and fry it like one does with rice. (And yeah, I'll add some rice to the mix as well as the egg used to stir fry it.) I gotta find some healthier options than the frozen meals Himself tends to default to...
ETA: He approved. Personally, I found it edible, but it needs improvement the next time.
