The worst part about the after care for skin cancer of the scalp is the activity restrictions. Yes, that spot on my scalp is uncomfortable, but literally every other part of my body is fine.

I did manage to leave the pressure dressing on for the required 48 hours, even though it involved a stretchy band around my head that had to sit under my jaw and was itchy and irritating.

But damn the exercise restriction is just not something I want to do.

I exercise as a way to maintain and improve both my physical and MENTAL health for the long term. It's how I'm trying to get myself down to a healthier weight, and it helps decrease the underlying, ever present anxiety. It's a 'healthy habit' I started to help replace the old, unhealthy one of snacking to calm and soothe myself. And honestly, it works a hell of a lot better than the old habit.

But she wants me to 'take it easy" until the sutures come out on the 10th of September. Even though this last procedure was so much simpler than the first one - which took 5 rounds of cutting, staples as well as sutures, and all day - she still wants them in for a full 2 weeks because I didn't heal as fast as she thought I would last time. Stupid transplant drugs negatively impacting healing time.

Honestly, I don't want to wait until the sutures are out to get back on the stationary bike.
